Facebook’s Media & Community Partnerships organization is seeking a leader to join the Entertainment Team to work with public figures, creators, studios, digital publishers, and other media organizations. The North America Director of Entertainment Partnerships will help unlock growth with our partners through strategic market development, new product solutions, and curating best in class partner relationships across the industry.As an advocate for Entertainment partners ranging from music artists and thought leaders to streaming services and digital publishers, the successful candidate will help inform company investments, work with key stakeholders to shape product strategy, and ensure product market fit. The Director will play a key role in supporting company priorities, developing new products and experiences, and will lead a large organization of high performing partner managers across multiple offices.This role requires a keen ability to influence across a complex organization, as key internal stakeholders will include Strategic Partner Managers, Product Managers, Engineers, Business Development, and leadership. Externally, deep relationships and established trust within the entertainment industry are pivotal to success.
Manage and lead a team of Partner Managers across the full Entertainment vertical, ranging from Public Figures, Video Creators, and Subject Matter Experts to Media Publishers, Film Studios, and Broadcasters.
Identify and prioritize segments and topics that can thrive on Facebook, crafting an effective strategic plan to develop partners with a solid value proposition for the long-term, shipping the Company vision while setting our platforms as an essential ally for their digital strategies.
Manage multiple priority workstreams, assuring partner outreach aligned to goals and objectives.
Build trust across the industry and directly with our top tier entertainment partners, improving brand sentiment and platform transparency.
Collaborate with a team of regional leadership colleagues to align major opportunities and priority segments across a global business.
Be an internal advocate for partners and segments with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, business development, and communications.
Work with relevant internal teams to ensure that Facebook is prioritizing partner input in relevant product and policy decisions.
Navigate crisis management and resolve challenging partner/industry situations.
Be the spokesperson with partners and media for the North America Entertainment territory, the largest region within Facebook’s global Entertainment business.
12+ years media industry experience and/or partner management, with proven track record managing public figures, individual publishers, and media organizations.
Proven track record of success working at the intersection of tech and entertainment.
Experience leading a complex, dynamic team in a cross-functional work setting.
Knowledge of emerging media segments and an understanding of their needs.
Demonstrated experience thinking strategically about issues, leading to data-driven recommendations and action plans.
Experience managing financial analysis and budget forecasts across multiple business segments.
Experience working cross-functionally with all levels of management, both internally and externally.
Proven track record of success leading large, external facing teams with empathy, vision, and best in class communication.
