Facebook Reality Labs (FRL) is seeking an experienced Director, Team Operations to oversee sites, technical labs and embedded partner installations. FRL creates consumer products to connect the world, including the Oculus Quest and Facebook Portal devices. The Team Ops Director will provide global strategy for all of FRL’s Sites, Labs, Research Facilities, and all other technical and specialty spaces within our global office footprint while working closely with Environmental Health & Safety on the operations of these locations. The candidate will work with our current offices to determine how to best utilize space allocated to Technical research & development and work with our Real Estate & Development teams to build the new spaces required to keep teams productive. This position will oversee space allocation, expansion approval, equipment validation and installation, and preventative maintenance for global specialty spaces and equipment across locations in the US, Europe, and Asia.
Lead a worldwide team of site coordinators, program managers, technical lab leads and tool developers to support FRL current and future obligations
Drive the planning between the product, research and Facebook global facilities organizations ensuring space and technical abilities are available and operational ahead of need and operate safely
Oversee 3-5 year plans for space and technical spaces, validated with finance, legal and management and revised yearly to ensure budget, alignment and timing
Work in close collaboration with EHS on the development and operation of FRL sites
Partner with HR and Engineering leadership on office expansion plans in the US and other countries
Develop synergies and partnerships within Facebook to support the special space requirements of FRL
Utilize KPIs to measure program including the performance of contracted vendor teams
Communicate updates regularly to stakeholders
Work across all product verticals in FRL to understand the product roadmap and develop strategies for space and labs to support the teams, regularly meeting with product leads
Key leader in crisis management as needed to support FRL workers and spaces
Ensure FRL sites and labs are inclusive and safe spaces to work
Oversee all budget, communications, goals and other operational components of Team Ops
Bachelors Degree or higher in business, architecture or technical related fields
15+ years experience managing Operations, Facilities, Technical Facilities and the support Operations Teams for these facilities
Experience working in a fast growing environment, especially within the technology sector
