We are looking for an experienced individual who can derive root-cause analysis using focused characterization techniques. The right candidate will get trained and support others to address needs from various projects. This position strongly partners with various teams. Strong interaction and interface with cross-functional teams are necessary. We are looking for an individual who is a strong team player. He/she must adhere to the best of class lab practices, maintain an organized and clean laboratory environment, manage sample inventory, follow all lab health and safety regulations.
Perform detailed root cause analysis on technically complex failures
Identify and define action plans to solve complex problems
Cross-correlate data from various techniques to drive towards conclusions
Hands-on work with various tools including optical metrology, microscopy, thermal and spectroscopy techniques
Bachelors Degree in Physics or related field with specialization in one or more of the following fields: optics, display, liquid crystal technology, photonics
Experience and technical knowledge in LCD, OLED, TFT, optoelectronics testing, and failure modes. Functional knowledge of the design of optical, mechanical, electronic components, coatings and related failures
3+ years of experience in failure analysis with proficiency in advanced analysis techniques. We are looking for a technical expert who understands how to measure quality data, cross-correlate the data, present interpretations focused on the issue, and solve technical problems
Adept at the data-driven approach to solving problems with positivity
Communication and presentation skills
Experience building relationships and work cross-functionally with multi-disciplinary teams
Masters or Doctorate in Optics, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in the realm of root cause analysis
Inherent curiosity to solve problems
