Facebook Looking For Field Data Collector at Seattle, WA Full Time

Insight Global has teamed up with Facebook to map out a variety of significant landmarks in cities across the US.

The collection of mapping data involves walking to prearranged geographical routes in Seattle, in which you will be equipped with a specialized backpack containing a image sensor used for the data collection during these walking routes. The image sensors will scan and collect data of the geography and routes you are following.

Responsibilities:

· Data collection will take place in and around the city of Seattle WA and you will be tasked with imaging significant landmarks during your routes

· You will retrieve and transport the specialized equipment to assigned outdoor areas to walk and map the locations

· On average, you will walk/drive approximately 5-6 miles daily, carrying the sensor equipment which is approximately 25 lbs

· Report any equipment issues with specialized gear and follow troubleshooting guide

Minimum Qualifications:

· Good physical condition with stamina for long periods of walking

· Capable of walking/driving 8 hours/day and carrying up to 25lbs. for extended periods of time

· Previous experience in mapping or other related fields a plus-

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Ability to prioritize and multitask

· Deadline and detail-oriented

· Must be polite and courteous and be comfortable with public interactions

· Ability to follow security procedures to safeguard equipment

· Able to read and understand instructions

Desired Qualifications (Not required):

· Experience with iOS devices and be able to troubleshoot problems (iPhone, iPad, etc.) a plus

· Previous experience in mapping or other related fields a plus

· Degree in Geography or related fields

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $22.00 per hour
