The Media Operations team develops solutions for media companies on Facebook and Instagram by creating scaled systems to address the issues impacting their experiences with the suite of Facebook products. Our Music Partner Operations team is committed to providing support for music content partners inclusive of the specific needs of the industry.We are seeking a Music Content Operations Specialist to support global operations functions for music publishers and collection societies. Candidates will be data driven and flexible to frequent changes. They are expected to think creatively about ambiguous issues and are passionate about problem-solving. They will also be able to work successfully across teams and regions.
Manage day-to-day ongoing operations with Facebook’s North American music publishing partners
Develop workflows for monitoring publishing data and provide scalable solutions for issue identification and resolution
Build visual reports to track publisher metrics and trends
Communication with partners with regard to onboarding specifications and data delivery, including general documentation
Partner closely with cross-functional teams – including commercial partnerships, legal, product, and engineering – in an effort to scale operations support workflows across teams
Develop a deep expertise in Facebook’s music rights management products and how they are being used across constituent groups
Partner advocate for contractual rights based decisions and actions
4+ years of experience in music account management, product management, online operations, consulting, or data analytics
Technical operations capacity (i.e. advanced querying, data fluency, specs, troubleshoot data issues, scripting, etc. proficient in both SQL and Excel)
Demonstrated experience working on product development and/or partnering with technical/engineering teams
Communication skills and the experience working cross-functionally, both internally and externally
Knowledge of copyright and music licensing
Knowledge of digital rights management products, especially for music
Working knowledge of DDEX, CWR, CCID or other metadata standards
Music or media industry background, preferably with record label, music publisher, complex DSP or UGC platform experience
