The Academic Partnerships team is a new and forming team focused on building relationships within the academic community and finding solutions to unblock research conducted on Facebook. They work on enabling the research community on the most critical research concerning Facebook products including their impact on people and society. The Academic Partnerships team sits at the intersection of product and community building where it will define, build, and execute on strategy, operations, partnerships, and program management. Facebook is seeking an experienced product program manager for new products supporting academic partners performing critical social science research. This person will be responsible for building product programs that support academic partner ecosystems and provide direction to execute on strategies that enable academics to use our products. Sitting on the Research Product Partnerships team, this person will be responsible for establishing and managing strategic internal relationships with key academic partnerships stakeholders, partner management teams, and will work with our world-class product and engineering teams to ship the best and most innovative products. The right person is a self-starter with experience working with product and engineering teams and is passionate about finding solutions for how Facebook can work with a range of partners and strengthen our relationship with the academic community. She/he will be responsible for understanding partner and product value exchange, identifying opportunities, and driving measurable results. This role will work cross-functionally with the policy, legal, marketing, PR and operations teams to optimize platform capabilities, improve user experience, and ensure our partners are successful. The ideal candidate has a strategic mindset, relationship-focused approach, and strong communication skills. This is a full-time position.
Build and oversee product programs to ensure product and partner goals are achieved with a focus on academic research
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive program progress against goals and objectives by establishing logistics, action items and owners
Oversee multiple project teams through strong attention to strategy, implementation, and delegation
Develops scaled resources by building out templates, playbooks, tools and communication channels
Help drive product strategy through strategic partnerships
Facilitate the flow of information between everyone involved and create alignment around priorities and decisions
Drive, track and document progress against program plans through partner trackers and on-boarding funnels
Measure, analyze program efficacy and recommend program changes based on feedback
5+ years of relevant product, consulting, business development, partnership, or technical experience in consumer technology
Experience defining, developing, and leading complex projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Academic background or experience working with the academic community
Experience launching 0 1 products with strategic partners
Experience working with large cross-functional teams
Interest in internet, technologies, and scaled program development
Time management, facilitation, and organizational skills
