We’re looking for an experienced Supplier Management thought-leader to continue to build out and drive our Supplier Management strategy for the People organization. This role requires someone who is known for flexibility and creativity and is excited to lead in a flat organization that values collaboration and communication. You are a natural at building influence in cross-functional partnerships and developing great stakeholder relationships across the entire organization. You thrive in a flat, fast-moving organization where you can use lightweight processes, creative ideas and quick iteration to have a huge impact. You should also be excited about staying hands-on with company vendor management strategy, evolving vendor management practices and domain expertise. You will not only contribute to our overall strategy, but also maintain accountability for the day-to-day creation and management of our most important supplier related processes. Our end goal is to have a robust supplier management discipline infused across our People (HR) organization and integrated with our company-wide approach.
Contribute to the continued development of our supplier management framework, ensure timely completion of critical milestones on our team roadmap, and take ownership of high impact projects.
Partner with Finance (Sourcing, Procurement, and related teams) and Enterprise Technology/Products teams on improvements to current supplier management activities.
Serve as a key point of contact for escalations from client groups related to supplier related processes and/or roadblocks.
Make recommendations for and drive improvements to current end-to-end supplier lifecycle activities, focusing on a predictable and metrics-driven approach.
Support our relationship with key HR suppliers, including risk and performance management. You understand contractual, commercial and operational working relationships with suppliers to ensure that contractual commitments are delivered.
Responsible for driving our mission to automate and standardize where appropriate.
Designing and conducting internal client-facing training, including development of guidance materials, on supplier management best practices, internal tooling and processes, troubleshooting supplier relationship roadblocks, and other programs as assigned. Collect and incorporate questions and feedback from key stakeholders to continually evolve these training and guidance materials to improve our Supplier Management Playbook.
Help develop and contribute to the overall supplier performance management strategy, ensuring that suppliers are delivering maximum value through their services – establish internal policies, standards, templates for working with suppliers, classify/rationalize/optimize supplier portfolio and concentrate efforts on managing the most strategic suppliers, manage regular level collaborative meetings between suppliers and business, ensure there are clear metrics and reporting across all KPIs to ensure strong supplier performance.
Apply the reporting framework for supplier performance in areas that include quality, capacity, systems and responsiveness – partner with business owners to develop supplier scorecards and dashboards that present relevant data tailored to the audience, define and hold strategic suppliers to higher performance standards and drive continuous improvements, collect/consolidate/communicate detailed reports and key supplier data to stakeholders on supplier performance, risk and relationships.
Ensure business owners are mitigating, monitoring and managing supplier risks – including financial viability, information security, business continuity and corporate and regulatory compliance. Assess and report on the risk level of suppliers based on financial, skills, tools and the use of third parties.
Identify and execute value opportunities with key strategic supplier relationships – analyze problem areas and help resolve issues and disputes.
5+ years of Strategic Supplier Relationship Management experience.
Experience with relationship management and third party management principles/best practices.
Organizational experience to handle multiple initiatives at one time.
Project management experience.
Analytical approach to problem solving, with a focus on managing a team environment. With attention to results and with a sense of urgency.
Experience managing supplier relationships.
Experience with a service-based/SLA-based vendor delivery model.
Project and process management experience to handle more than one supplier, projects and tasks.
Experience with procurement systems/processes/tools.
Familiarity with risk-based supplier management and triage.
4+ years of experience in project/asset management, procurement and supplier/vendor relations in a technology environment.
Industry Certifications – IAOP Certified Outsourcing Professional or COPC VMO or IPO Certifications.
