HireArt is helping the world’s largest social network hire a Technical Artist. In this role, you’ll work closely with teams in a highly collaborative research environment to help invent the future.
The ideal candidate has at least 6 years of experience authoring 3D assets and working with Unreal Engine and Python.
As a Technical Artist, you’ll:
- Work in close cooperation with the Technical Art Director, Technical Artists, Engineers and 3D Artists to develop a custom internal content pipeline, including workflows to generate complete runtime scenes in Unreal Engine.
- Help develop 3D asset management solutions, including storage, retrieval, and ingestion into Unreal Engine.
- Integrate 3D assets to assemble complete Unreal Engine runtime scenes.
- Author workflows to accelerate the work of 3D Artists.
- Set up Unreal game logic, including orchestration of character animation playback.

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant visual art or technical field such as Computer Animation, Graphic Design, Computer Science or similar
- 6+ years experience with Unreal Engine and Python
- 6+ years of programming/scripting experience
- 6+ years of experience authoring 3D assets, including managing the pipeline
- Proven ability to author productivity tools for 3D artists
- Proficiency with Nvidia Omniverse is a plus
Commitment: This is a full-time (40 hours per week), 12-month contract position staffed via HireArt and based in Redmond, WA, Menlo Park, CA, or Los Angeles, CA. It will be fully remote until offices reopen and is available to candidates local to the Seattle, SF Bay, or Los Angeles areas.
