The Buyer Apparel is responsible for developing assortments and buys for Retail and E-Commerce. The role works with DTC Planning/Allocation, Retail, E Commerce, Consumer Creation, Marketing, and Operations.
Responsibilities
Responsible for achieving sales, profit, and inventory targets for the DTC Apparel category.
Provide seasonal line input to Consumer Creation to support product needs for Retail and E-Commerce.
Maintain product assortments, including in-store and out-store dates at the style-color level.
Review best seller and hindsight analysis to inform future assortment, pricing, and inventory strategies.
Implement seasonal competitive benchmarking to evaluate relational pricing and adjust as needed.
Ensure all buys are approved by DTC leadership and submitted by required deadlines with accuracy.
Manage calendar of weekly POS promotions, and clearance markdown strategies for stores and Fila.com.
Partner with Inventory Management on allocation and replenishment strategies.
Support monthly OTB process to maximize financial outcomes, drive sales, margin, and inventory efficiency.
Attend weekly business meetings to review results and recommend actions to meet financial targets.
Optimize assortment through SKU productivity/APS analysis to eliminate unproductive choice counts.
Partner internally to support visual merchandising, cross-sell, product knowledge, and training initiatives.
Manage Apparel sample placement and work with the E. Com team on the E2E product set-up on the site.

Highly organized and process driven, yet agile, flexible, and adaptable to evolving business needs.
Experience / Skills:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience.
Retail or fashion industry experience, preferably with athletic or casual footwear and apparel brand.
Prior background in merchandising and buying for retail stores and/or an e-commerce site.
Excellent computer and software skills: MS Office, Google Workspace, Google Analytics, business analytics (MS Power BI), and ERP (MS D365).
Compensation:
$86,000 – $105,000
At FILA USA, actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, and qualifications.
