First National Bank of America Hiring for Internal Auditor at East Lansing, MI Full Time

Overview:

The Internal Auditor is an objective source of independent advice to assist the organization in reaching its objectives. The position will be responsible for conducting internal audits in accordance with the internal audit plan. This will be completed through a systematic and disciplined approach of examining and evaluating the effectiveness of operating processes, risks, and internal controls.

Job Type: Full-time


Location: On-site in our East Lansing, MI office

  • Remote is not available

Responsibilities:

  • Performs and documents audit testing by preparing work papers in compliance with department standards.
  • Communicates audit results to various stakeholders as necessary.
  • Provides management with recommendations to correct findings, improve their processes, and create a stronger control environment.
  • Perform follow up reviews on audit report findings.
  • Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding Internal Audit and Banking.
  • Perform other special projects or duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in Accounting or Financial Services is a plus
  • Ability to work proficiently with Microsoft Office and databases
  • Sound independent judgement
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized
  • Excellent analytical skills
