Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations or equivalent practical experience
- 3 years of work experience in Finance, Engineering, or Operations
- Experience using SQL and dashboard design for data analysis
- Experience in project management and in designing, implementing, or testing processes and/or controls for both standard systems and custom applications, or business operations workflows
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning, and source-to-pay processes
- Experience with accounting principles, and profit and loss structure
- Ability to be a team player, thrive in ambiguity, develop solutions, and multi-task in a dynamic environment

The Finance Operations team manages Google’s cash transactions on a global basis and ensures that Google’s incoming and outgoing cash processes are controlled, effective and efficient. As a member of this team, you’ll find innovative ways to manage our complex set of transactions. You thrive on making processes more efficient and scalable, you work to ensure the highest level of quality of our operations and you proactively minimize operational risk. Externally, you collaborate with our outsourcing partners and internally, you collaborate across the five areas of the Financial Operations team: Global Revenue Operations, Procure to Pay, Electronic Payment Services, Business Process Outsourcing, and Payroll.
As a Finance Operations Analyst, you create scalable processes and make them better. You are the link for the core Finance team and the teams across Google, responsible for forecasting, planning, resource prioritization and business profitability.
Fiber Finance Operations aims to improve financial processes to build high speed internet to future customers and sits at the operational intersection between finance and the business. As a Finance Operations Process Manager, you will address the operational efficiency, effectiveness, financial risk, and compliance of Google Fiber and Webpass.
You will be working with Google Fiber’s payments and related financial processes, to ensures Google Fiber’s incoming and outgoing cash processes enable operational growth in an efficient, scalable, and controlled way.

And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
Responsibilities
- Participate in process design, system implementations, collaborating with product, engineering, finance, and operations teams while being able to identify areas for improvement and provide ideas for solutions
- Design, report, and perform analyses to drive effective process improvement, avoid mistakes, and provide quick fixes
- Manage outsourced vendors and processes, ensuring operational targets are met, and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement
- Create process documentation for consistency, clarity, and knowledge repository
- Support business assurance responsibilities, (e.g., identifying areas of opportunity in company growth, margins, costs through analysis, and creation of new audits and reports)
