Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function.
  • Experience with database concepts and SQL.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience identifying and operationalizing key performance indicators, and creating and overseeing analyses to drive decisions with data.
  • Experience with large enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g. SAP).
  • Experience in financial modeling, trends, and developing insights.

The Financial Planning and Analysis teams within Finance help our business leaders grow financially sustainable businesses by providing operational direction and strategic oversight. These teams lead the modeling of complex business scenarios, the tracking of business performance metrics, and the execution of budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.

Financial Planning and Analysis teams are geographically distributed and tightly embedded in the businesses with which they partner. The Financial Planning and Analysis Hub is a function within Financial Planning and Analysis designed to transform analysis and processes that are core and common across all teams.

As an Analyst in Finance Transformation, you will help create and implement new solutions that leverage technologies such as Machine Learning (ML). This role will support multi-year Finance Transformation efforts across Alphabet that will enable better forecasting accuracy, initiative and spend return on investment, and management reporting. In this role, you will partner and collaborate with various Financial Planning and Analysis teams that support multiple Product Areas and Functions across all of Alphabet.

And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.


Responsibilities

  • Deliver impactful analysis and insights to support partner finance teams’ current management reporting efforts.
  • Leverage the Finance Data Analytics team’s Machine Learning (ML) and tools to streamline and drive change for current processes.
  • Work with other cross-functional partners such as product Financial Planning and Analysis and Corporate Engineering to implement solutions.
  • Support change management activities.
  • Address new and evolving priorities for the team, including ad-hoc analyses.
