Minimum qualifications:
- Medical degree, MD or equivalent
- 5 years of clinical experience in a primary care setting following the completion of post-residency training
- Leadership experience within a health center, network, provider association, health plan, or accountable care organization
- Experience in digital health product development or deployment
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in digital health evaluation and clinical research, including healthcare delivery science
- Experience taking a digital health product from from concept to market
- Experience in quality, safety, or regulatory affairs
- Experience in risk-based care models, including Medicare Advantage
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with evidence of thought leadership and innovation
- Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to be personable and persistent

The Clinical Team helps Google achieve its mission by providing clinical leadership, insights, and guidance for the development of products, services, and research. The team supports products across Google that touch the health and well-being of people on a global scale. It is a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, clinical researchers, public health experts, and people who have run health systems.
As a Clinical Specialist, you’ll be an effective and influential contributor to our work, developing intelligent and intuitive tools that help improve health journeys for clinicians and patients. You’ll utilize not only your clinical expertise but also your excellent listening, communication, and leadership skills to appropriately shape the content, design, and execution of products.
Responsibilities
- Use clinical and healthcare delivery expertise to provide guidance, insights, and direction on clinical practice, workflow, culture, variation in practice, safety-related issues, patient care processes, and outcomes relevant to our product aims and feature development.
- Provide effective and timely evaluation, interpretation, and translation of relevant national guidance, best practice, and clinical evidence that impacts products and features.
- Support the Development and Technical Deployment teams in gaining greater awareness of clinical and administrative needs, particularly where variation in practice exists, or changes in care standards or processes exist.
- Respond to the needs of the business and projects prioritizing efforts effectively, which may require leading on certain projects and contributing to others
- Serve as an internal and external advocate for Google’s health-focused work
