At Google we’re committed to improving the lives of as many people as possible. One of the most important areas in which we’re striving to do that is health.
As a Clinical Specialist on the global Google Health team, you will assume responsibility for supporting health and safety for Googlers and their family members, primarily focused on the U.S. population. Specifically, this role will focus on the health and safety of our broader Google community, efforts between the Clinical Team and Environmental Health and Safety team in addressing Googler health and safety, and the U.S. healthcare programs and services focused on providing high quality outcomes and experience for Googlers and their family members.
You will work on projects to impact community health so that we build the trust and civic engagement needed to impact health and well-being at the community scale, while improving our local and global reputation.
You will work independently and cross-functionally, serving as a trusted clinical partner and advisor to partner teams, along with business leadership. You have a demonstrable background working as a physician in your field with recognized expertise in clinical care, along with experience navigating payor and technological aspects of the healthcare system. You will work closely with non-clinical teams such as people operations, environmental health and safety, privacy, compliance, and legal.
Google Health has made major advances in healthcare research, such as detecting eye disease more quickly and accurately than experts, planning cancer radiotherapy treatment in seconds rather than hours, and working to detect patient deterioration before it happens with electronic records.
Fundamental research is at the core of Google Health – the multidisciplinary team collaborates with partners to publish novel research in renowned scientific journals. They then work to apply this research into the medical field through clinical hardware and products developed in Google. Working alongside colleagues across Google, you’ll help make this vision a reality.
