- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
- 2 years of experience in program management
- Formal career experience working with youth
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
- Management experience and/or academic advising experience, and a passion for working with historically underrepresented youth
- Demonstrated experience or interest in helping students transition into post-secondary opportunities
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Google Research is building the next generation of intelligent systems for all Google products. To achieve this, we’re working on projects that utilize the latest computer science techniques developed by skilled software engineers and research scientists. Google Research teams collaborate closely with other teams across Google, maintaining the flexibility and versatility required to adapt new projects and foci that meet the demands of the world’s fast-paced business needs.
Responsibilities
- Create a community connected to the Code Next lab by connecting with local nonprofits, schools, and other tech companies within proximity
- Lead the lab operations, including leading a team of coaches, site coordinator, and volunteers
- Work directly with students, teachers, and parents to ensure that they are following our road map to success; identify areas of academic strength, leadership skills, program interest, and motivation and challenges of students to help them complete the program successfully
- Follow up on student progress regularly, (e.g., organize advisory process, monitor academic success, create and review progress reports/project completion, assess extra curricular projects, etc.)
- Work with the Code Next Leads to create a path for students to develop their technical skills academically and practically through self-paced direct learning and project work
