Minimum qualifications:
- Master’s degree in decision science, economics, operations research, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent practical experience
- 3 years of experience using statistical data analysis, decision science, or similar quantitative fields to make decisions or recommendations
- Experience in cross-functional capital infrastructure planning and program management
- Experience aligning efforts with team and stakeholders
Preferred qualifications:
- Operation management and optimization education or experience
- Experience with data visualization tools and dash-boarding capabilities (e.g., Tableau, Data Studio, Looker, or similar tool)
- Experience with Python and data analysis
- SQL experience, and the ability to query, merge, filter, and subquery
- Knowledge of data center infrastructure requirements
- Solid communication skills, with the ability to present to all levels of management
About the job
In this role, you will lead the Supply Planning Decision Making Processes and Risk Analysis Programs to formulate capacity supply recommendations that would meet the growing demand from all Google Product Areas. You will drive decision making in the presence of risk and uncertainty, and understand how to build decision trees, basic operations management, and have a solid grasp of probability.
Responsibilities
- Manage the team’s operations to produce data center option analyses and recommendations
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure coordination and alignment on data management, global initiatives, and issue resolutions
- Set direction and strategy for Supply Planning Decision Making and Risk Analysis function, track and report progress, and communicate with the leadership team and across Google Data Centers
