Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience in Sales Operations, Consulting, or Corporate Planning.
- Experience with analysis and presentations to C-level leadership.
- Experience with people management.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or advanced graduate degree in a management, technical, or engineering field.
- 15 years of experience at a leading consulting or finance firm, digital media company, or ad tech company.
- Experience executing complex, strategic, and operational initiatives.
- Distinctive problem-solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment.
- Excellent communication skills with a track record of building outstanding relationships with senior stakeholders and influencing within a complex business environment.

Google Play provides the apps, games, and digital content services that bring Android devices to life. The Play Store serves users around the world, and is a critical driver of Google’s overall growth. The Business Operations, Strategy and Analytics team partners closely with business and product teams and provides the strategic support and business insights to accelerate and optimize innovations globally. These include crafting growth strategies, market prioritization, monitoring the current business, reporting results on promotional activities, evaluating new features, and research to identify new business opportunities.
As Director, Growth Strategy and Operations for Google Play, you help shape the future of the platform capabilities to drive user growth and retention. You combine a love of data with great business judgment and communication skills in order to develop strategies with meaningful insight from user behavior globally. You have great attention to detail, and summarize with brevity and impact, operating in the start-up nature of Google Play. Your work helps the Google Play Growth team shape product development and strategic/operational decision-making, with the ultimate goal of increasing the Google Play store performance across all of our markets and verticals. You provide strategic and analytical support, market understanding, and a strategic perspective to our partners throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Google Play business and product leadership to define growth and retention strategies and execution path to achieve and measure success.
- Partner with leadership to identify and lead business insights projects across the Global Play Organization.
- Define and develop relevant KPIs to monitor and optimize long term business performance
- Ensure a high degree of quality in all projects and ensure that good processes are adopted and best practices are shared.
- Develop content for and participate in business reviews with senior leadership. Set high standards and relevant benchmarks on how Google Play evaluates initiatives and outcomes globally
