Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of professional experience including experience managing technical projects in software engineering and building and managing platforms serving developer communities.
- Experience with cloud technologies (data center topologies, enterprise and mobile security, cloud identity, automation/design techniques, and troubleshooting techniques).
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or other technical field.
- Experience with product management, sales, compliance, or risk management experience.
- Experience with enterprise platforms and track record of design systems (common component libraries), promoting adoption, driving Developer Relations programs.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skills with a demonstrated track record of cross-functional stakeholder management and leadership through influence.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills that drive impact at scale including effective presentation skills, with the ability to deliver technical and business domains.
About the job
The Google Cloud Console is the main user interface for Google Cloud. It’s what Google Cloud users use to understand, build, and run their Cloud. The Console team builds experiences for Developers and IT admins who use Google Cloud Platform (GCP), as well as a robust platform for Google engineers and designers who build GCP UI. In this role, you will lead the platform efforts.
As Director of Product Management for the Google Cloud Console Platform, you will be responsible for delivering a platform that enables the community of GCP product teams to design, prototype, build, test, release, monitor, and experiment features in the Console; manage improvements in the platform that translate to faster onboarding, better productivity and efficiency for GCP product teams and consistent, easy-to-use experience for customers; ensure that Cloud Console is reliable, fast, accessible and compliant with emerging regulations for regionalization; deliver on these initiatives translates to unlocking new customer segments (e.g. accessibility allows government and education sector customers to adopt GCP).
You will have built robust platforms targeting developer communities of similar scale. Having an enterprise background is a plus, but what matters more is empathy for developers and track record of thinking end-to-end about their development experience.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end strategic capabilities of the Google Cloud Console Platform, driving sales and adoption across target verticals, interfacing with key customers, establishing relationships with customer executives, engaging with customer advocates to drive roadmap decisions, supporting sales opportunities, and handling post sales issues.
- Establish leadership within the organization, building consensus, simplifying complexity, aligning cross-functional teams, prioritizing product roadmap and pricing, GTM (go-to-market) business case, and scaling best practices across teams.
- Understand our customers’ environments, their unmet needs and priorities (technical objections), working with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, developing Google Cloud Console capabilities that increase adoption and satisfaction.
- Serve as a spokesperson for Console Platform internally within Google Cloud and externally.
- Recruit and lead collaborative and diverse teams.
