As the Director, Product Management, Google Play and Android Safety, you will be responsible for providing the product vision, strategy, and execution for key Security, App Safety, and Privacy experiences for Android and Google Play. You will also be responsible for threat intelligence, malware and on-device intelligence platforms that keep the Google Play Store clean from unwanted mobile software and power the safety experience. Additionally, as the Director you will design and lead a multi-year product roadmap — balancing short and long-term goals and investments — to build further Android and Google Play’s Security and Privacy positions in the eyes of users, key opinion formers, and regulators. In this role, you will work closely with the Play and Android leadership, engineering, hardware, product marketing, and other cross-functional teams to determine Google’s product strategies, ensure successful product launches, and plan for global market growth.
Google Play offers music, movies, books, apps and games for devices, powered by the cloud. It syncs across devices and on the web. As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy an ebook or song on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users.
