Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering field or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience with 10 years in security operations, incident response, information security, fraud, threat intelligence, or privacy.
- 5 years of experience managing dispersed technical teams.
- Experience communicating and promoting business or technical concepts with senior leadership.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience securing systems in Cloud and hybrid environments, including threat intelligence in defensive operations, malware, attacker techniques, and offensive security.
- Experience working with engineering teams to drive improvements at scale, building security capabilities, and shaping Cloud detection and mitigation strategies.
- Experience with regulated environments, international privacy regimes, including associated incident management and reporting.
- Experience with digital forensics, evidence, working with legal teams, and investigating and remediating nation state intrusions or large eCrime cases at enterprises.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills including technical writing and building relationships with and influence savvy internal and external stakeholders.

Our Security team works to create and maintain the safest operating environment for Google’s users and developers. You’ll work with network equipment and actively monitor our systems for attacks and intrusions. In this role, you will also work with software engineers to proactively identify and fix security flaws and vulnerabilities.
As Director, Security & Trust Center (STC), Google Cloud, within the Google Cloud CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) function, you will be responsible for the engagement with customer security teams and external partners in the areas of security response, fraud, abuse, and threat intelligence.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer security teams assistance when incidents occur, collaborating within security and with technical and executive leadership.
- Leverage Google’s threat intelligence capabilities, provide insights to the customers’ operations to help prepare for pertinent threats, develop effective countermeasures, and perform their defense and co-governance roles in Cloud more effectively.
- Ensure top cloud fraud and abuse risks are anticipated and effectively mitigated, staying abreast of emerging trends and working with engineering to develop detective and preventive controls.
- Coordinate security response preparedness drills and maintain continuous threat and attack visibility for Cloud products and services, partnering with cross-functional engineering teams drive detection, intelligence, and response capabilities, representing the views of Cloud CISO.
- Engage with internal partners in Sales, Office of the CISO, etc. to share recommended practices and insights though executive briefings, conferences, and similar forums.
