Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience leading operational initiatives
- 15 years of experience in Management Consulting, Corporate Development, Product Management, Engineering, or Operations of a technical team, or a similar role
- Experience with project management
- Experience with cross-functional executive stakeholder management
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA, Master’s degree, or equivalent in a technical/quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or Economics)
- Experience executing complex strategic and operational initiatives
- Technical acumen with experience working with engineering or operations teams
- Track record of problem solving and analytical skills, combined with excellent business judgment and communication skills
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills

As the Director, Strategy and Operations, you will support the Vice President of Corp Eng. You will partner with the Corporate Engineering leadership team, our partnering teams in Core, and across Google to deliver product excellence and business impact. Corp Eng contributes to Google’s core mission of organizing the world’s information, and ensures excellence in delivering the capabilities that support Googlers across the company.

Responsibilities
- Drive the evolution of the vision, strategy, and execution for Corp Eng and its role in the broader Core function.
- Partner with the Vice President of Strategy and Operations for Core in driving Google-wide and Core-wide opportunities into the Corp Eng group.
- Keep the Corp Eng leadership team accountable for convergence and rationalization of bespoke processes and tools.
- Oversee embedded strategy and operations leads within the Corp Eng pillars and partner with leads across other Core pillars to collaborate and leverage each other’s best practices.
- Manage business planning and core operations, metrics, budget, headcount, space planning, location strategy, diversity, equity, and inclusion activities, and more.
