Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience
- 10 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), corporate strategy, or a similar environment
- Experience in people management
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working on a corporate FP&A team at a fast-paced and high-growth technology company
- Experience managing complex analytics projects from inception to delivery
- Experience with data and developing approaches for difficult questions
- Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques, tools, and capabilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain executive presence while managing changing timelines and rapid decision-making
- Excellent attention to detail and drive for continual process improvement

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it’s modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Excellent at working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to address big picture challenges.
You are both a manager and a mentor, providing financial leadership and analytical support to partners of the core Finance team as well as giving your own team the support they need to become financial experts. You’ll keep management informed on key financial metrics and work to improve financial operation practices throughout your region.
Google’s Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team focuses on decisions, projects, and processes that impact the business. We provide executive leadership with the information and insights they need to set and implement strategy, measure performance, and provide a roadmap for the future. The Decision Support team addresses the complex and strategic questions that leadership teams have.
In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and leading decision support capabilities across FP&A. You’ll represent Finance when collaborating with Business, Operations, and Engineering teams to design and develop system solutions for planning and forecasting. You will lead organizational-wide, cross-functional project teams to structure and execute analyses, developing recommendations, and communicating findings to executive management.

And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead a team of analysts to provide high-quality and consistent analysis/execution. Support analysts’ career growth and ensure resilient operations.
- Create processes, frameworks, and a culture that enables intake and allocation of projects. Partner with subject matter experts and develop insightful analyses and recommendations.
- Own ongoing processes, including monthly operating expense forecasting and reporting/variance analyses. Drive and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Lead indepth searches on resource allocation and returns, summarizing and presenting information to executive leadership.
- Support annual planning processes through subject matter expertise and decision support.
