Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it’s modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.
As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you’ll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You’ll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.
The mission of the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Hub is to deliver processes that work and the right data at your fingertips. We increase the front-line FP&A teams’ capacity to effectively partner with the business, generate growth and manage risk. This is achieved by using power of technology, data, and process excellence to simplify work and accelerate insights.
In this role, you will leverage Google’s financial data to unlock insights and create process efficiency for key stakeholders. You will lead the implementation of scalable solutions that address the needs of your finance and business partners, sharpen your analytical skills, and make an impact on a global scale in Google’s first hub focused specifically on FP&A activities. This specific role will initially help to build and scale solutions around the accruals booked during month-end close. You will help pilot the newly designed process, identify process modifications, and scale support by onboarding new teams. You will also partner with front-line Finance teams to ensure accruals are accurate and reflect monthly spend.
The name Google came from “googol,” a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
