Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- Experience managing projects involving compliance, legal, operations, and engineering workstreams in a matrix environment
- Experience managing workstreams in consulting or FinTech
Preferred qualifications:
- CAMS certification
- Experience interpreting compliance risks in cross-functional teams as a project manager or coordinator
- Experience with various payment products
- Knowledge of sanction risks as well as the financial services licensing ecosystem
- Solid technical background in data analytics, data visualization, and automation
About the job
The Finance Operations team manages Google’s cash transactions on a global basis and ensures that Google’s incoming and outgoing cash processes are controlled, effective and efficient. As a member of this team, you’ll find innovative ways to manage our complex set of transactions. You’ll make processes more efficient and scalable, work to ensure the highest level of quality of our operations, and proactively minimize operational risk. Externally, you collaborate with our extended workforce partners and internally, you will collaborate across the multiple areas of the Financial Operations team.
As a FinCrime Risk Specialist, you will work closely with the second Payments Compliance team. You will ensure that we are accurately, proactively and holistically identifying, mitigating, reporting and monitoring Financial Crime risk globally across existing and new Payments products, features and expansion efforts. You will work closely with Product Area Compliance Leads and Payments Compliance teams to identify vulnerabilities and controls beyond what is stipulated within the regulations to further enhance Google’s FinCrime Risk Management practices.

Responsibilities
- Analyze payment products to determine AML/CTF and sanctions risks.
- Support implementation work and pilots resulting from assessments.
- Work with central compliance to ensure payments risks are accounted for.
- Communicate results with key stakeholders and leadership.
