Minimum qualifications:
- 10 years of professional experience in relevant fields.
- 5 years of people management experience including developing and inspiring team members.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or graduate degree in a management, technical or engineering field.
- Experience extracting and analyzing large datasets using SQL, R, Python or similar tools
- Ability to develop and validate hypothesis using data; design and measurement impact of experiments and other inference methods to drive business recommendations
- Distinctive problem-solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment.
- Exceptional ability to present to executives and communicate with highly technical management team
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills

As the Head of Analytics & Insights team partnering with the Retail & Payments Activation team, you will lead a team of analysts and deliver insights to enable Google Play payments growth by developing a deep understanding of user preferences, purchase patterns, and the partner ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Be the data insights and analytics expert on the Retail & Payments Activation business
- Drive the data and analytics strategy, aligning and setting priorities to deliver on the team and business needs
- Manage and coach a high performing team, growing the team’s technical skills and focusing on career development
- Lead cross-functional, global teams to achieve business objectives through data-driven methods, including managing data pipelines, dashboards, data visualization, and advanced statistical analyses
- Communicate findings to senior management and to the broader organization effectively, using both sound analytical insight and sound business judgment
