Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a creative strategy field (i.e. Graphic Design) or equivalent practical experience
- 15 years of experience as a creative director/principal design director in an agency or in-house team
- Experience strategizing, designing, developing, and implementing brand systems and customer experiences
- Experience designing and leading the development of design systems
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with contemporary design tooling
- Ability to flex across designing systems and experiences and partnering with agencies
- Knowledge of contemporary design/technology trends with a distinct point of view
- Excellent project/creative management and communication skills

Brand Studio is focused on building the Google brand. By combining user insights, strategic thinking, beautiful design and storytelling, our team creates a wide range of work that drives Google’s reputation for being helpful to people, businesses, and communities. Our work also aims to build advocacy and trust in the brand. To achieve that, we’re a multidisciplinary team of marketers, strategists, insights specialists, creatives, producers, and engineers who work together to create exceptional marketing.
Through design excellence and strategic vision, you will help shape brand strategies and tactics that help build our brand. You will also work with our Brand Studio teams to activate our helpful brand promise, and guide teams on how to infuse the Google brand across their products and initiatives. In collaboration with other Brand, Marketing, Design, Product, and agency partners, you will organize and rationalize our brand portfolio, activate ideas, and create impact for Google. You will be a role model for our values and demonstrate passion and action for diversity and inclusion efforts and initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Help envision the future of our brand purpose, brand identity, and other tools and platforms to educate and inspire Googlers to make the best brand decisions.
- Identify and partner with agencies to accelerate our charter.
- Drive projects from start to finish, collaborating positively with brand strategists, members of Brand Studio, and other marketers.
- Present to all levels within the organization, including executive leadership.
- Establish a positive network and grow our presence across Marketing.
