Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 11 years of experience in technology sales, digital marketing, consulting, or media.
- Leadership/people management experience.
Preferred qualifications:
- TV/Video experience from an agency, sales, marketing, or similar role.
- Experience in the auto or digital marketing/advertising industries.
- Experience with multi-stakeholder engagement, including executive or C-level customers.
- Experience working cross-functionally to align, execute on common goals, and deliver results in a matrix organization.
- Experience leading, developing, and mentoring teams to deliver results.
- Knowledge of Google advertising solutions, performance, or brand marketing and its relevant digital media solutions.

As the Head of Industry, you will lead and coach teams that use consultative business skills to understand our advertisers’ needs and deliver measurable solutions. You will work with the Sales Leadership team to set goals and run the day-to-day operations for the business. Additionally, you will help teams deliver on goals and partner directly with customers to exceed business and growth goals across targeted markets.
Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We’re uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google’s broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.
Responsibilities
- Engage with cross-functional talent to deliver insights, ideas, and customer service that drive growth for our customers and for Google.
- Develop and foster C-level relationships.
- Analyze data trends and performance, develop strategic business plans, and lead preparation and delivery of strategic business presentations and narratives.
- Partner with leaders of other teams to develop thought leadership that equips teams to deliver growth.
- Attract, develop, and retain talent in all roles across the team.
