Our Health Equity mission is to establish Google as a global leader in the development of products and partnerships to achieve health equity. Google’s Health Equity program supports teams in building and launching products and conducting research that is equitable, inclusive, and reduces health disparities.
In this role, you will serve as the expert in health equity, public health, and social determinants of health (SDoH) across the enterprise to provide evidence-based guidance on reducing health disparities and improving the health of populations and communities. You’ll advise Research and Product teams in integrating health equity into their work, elevating the highest priority groups and mitigating risks for increasing disparities and health outcome metrics. You’ll also support the creation of content and tools to augment competency in health equity, health disparities, and social determinants of health across Google.
You will bring expertise in health equity, public health, and social determinants of health to support the development and implementation of research and in support of evidence-based, inclusive product development.
Google Health has made major advances in healthcare research, such as detecting eye disease more quickly and accurately than experts, planning cancer radiotherapy treatment in seconds rather than hours, and working to detect patient deterioration before it happens with electronic records.
Fundamental research is at the core of Google Health – the multidisciplinary team collaborates with partners to publish novel research in renowned scientific journals. They then work to apply this research into the medical field through clinical hardware and products developed in Google. Working alongside colleagues across Google, you’ll help make this vision a reality.
