Minimum qualifications:
- 7 years of experience architecting and designing networks.
- 5 years of experience in data architecture.
- Experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., C++, Java, Python, Go, etc.).
Preferred qualifications:
- 10 years of experience operating and troubleshooting large enterprise networks.
- Experience in data architecture, enabling consistent data standardization and integration across the enterprise.
- Experience creating data models, data definitions, data mapping specifications, data flows, and structured data APIs.
- Experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems in an enterprise network environment
- Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (e.g., regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and machine learning techniques (e.g., clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
- Understanding of enterprise data management architecture and applications.

The Google Enterprise Network Architecture team designs Google’s enterprise network. Our focus is on the network experience of users in environments spanning the globe, through innovative hardware and software solutions.
In this role, you are responsible for the data architecture of Google’s enterprise network infrastructure. The enterprise data architecture you define drive Google’s enterprise network and services. You will work with partner teams in the corporate enterprise infrastructure space to deliver seamless, innovative solutions across all technology environments, preparing the network for use cases, by solving challenging problems relating to scale, security, and reliability.

Responsibilities
- Develop and drive the implementation of a modern, modular, scalable architecture that produces software artifacts for automation pipelines.
- Work closely with partner teams in engineering, operations, deployment, security, and other internal stakeholders, as well as with external vendors and standards bodies.
- Integrate with managed application platforms, various external software products, and internally developed automation tools.
- Work closely with the network and software architects to shape team priorities, data strategy, and architecture transformation roadmap.
- Build out an ontology or common business vocabulary to better facilitate data integration and interoperability between key applications and tools in the network, business, and automation systems.
