Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
  • CPA certification or equivalent certification.
  • 7 years of accounting experience in public accounting or a technology company and experience working with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with ASC 606 implementation and business growth recognition.
  • Experience providing technical accounting and business growth recognition advice to Product, Pricing, and Finance teams and influencing optimal launch for product initiatives.
  • Experience working with Technical Accounting and Accounting Operations teams to set up scalable and repeatable processes to ensure business growth recognition for product initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Draft technical accounting memos for complex product launches.
  • Provide periodic updates on product initiatives across Google Cloud Controllership organization.
  • Represent Google Cloud Business Finance team and manage review and approval of Google Cloud product initiatives, ensuring appropriate business growth recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
  • Partner with Pricing, Finance, Accounting Operations, and other business groups to drive process improvements in the area of product launches.
