Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience managing business processes and/or channel sales, working with resellers/partners.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with solution selling to enterprises, within a software vendor, and selling across a wide set of industries.
- Expertise within channel and partner sales management, with a distinct sales mindset.
- Ability to present complex information to customers, partners, and colleagues in a clear, compelling manner and credibility at all levels.
- Ability to deliver consistently against business goals and to grow a sales business beyond expectations.
- Comfortable operating at the highest level of large, complex organizations with the ability to work independently, within a cross-functional team.
About the job
The Partner Sales team is responsible for driving sustainable business growth according to annual local goals by managing the relationship between Google and a designated portfolio of partner organizations.
As a Partner Sales Manager, you will manage a holistic view of channel business in North America and will be responsible for developing a channel capacity as well as a sales plan, working closely aligned with different teams within the Google Maps and Cloud organization.
You will be a trusted business partner of the partner organizations assigned to the focus partners. You’ll enable and leverage business partners sales activities, managing partner business issues and concerns, displaying knowledge in various business management and sales disciplines, and you will lead partners towards a sustainable business.
In this role, you will drive business growth and customer value by being partner-centric in all activities, serving as an ambassador and advocate for partners within Google, and accurately representing Google within the partners’ organization. You will establish and maintain the business execution with Google’s partners and ensure that joint business growth and metrics are set and met or exceeded.

Responsibilities
- Orchestrate Google resources to support capacity planning and partner recruitment activities to develop a long-term scalable channel model.
- Lead business plans with partners establishing mutual agreements around marketing, readiness/skills development, and sales. Monitor progress and establish corrective actions.
- Drive execution across activities and mutual goals, including investment coordination, lead generation activities, readiness, and certification of technical and sales resources. Maintain view of return on Google’s and partner’s investments.
- Develop account plans for partners and jointly identify business opportunities, focus areas, and sales/marketing initiatives. Enable and drive partners in closing agreements and advancing sales.
- Work with partners to maintain healthy pipelines as indicated by velocity and coverage ratio vs. established sales goals. Organize pipeline reviews and reviews for large opportunities with partner sales teams to identify best practices and learnings.
