The Legal Investigations Support (LIS) team handles requests for user data received from Government agencies, courts, and parties in civil litigation. These requests will relate to real-world investigations on Google users. Some of those investigations will be routine, others may very well be on the news. LIS aims to strike the best balance between competing forces like legal compliance, Google’s values and policies, and users’ rights and freedoms, in order to improve the law, reduce risk, and keep Google running.
As a Policy Specialist, you will be behind the success of your Legal team, by managing a high-volume of these legal requests, processing them through internal tools based on internal policy and workflows. You’ll also identify opportunities to scale internal workflows to allow Google to respond quicker and with greater quality.
