Minimum qualifications:
- 8 years of experience within Strategy Consulting, Business Development, or Corporate Strategy Leadership
- Experience managing partners, influencing leaders, and presenting to executives
- Experience managing a team and managing multi-stakeholder deals
- Experience managing projects
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience leading through change and adapting to ambiguity
- Ability to thrive in fast paced environments and navigate executive stakeholders with varying interests
About the job
As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you’ll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You’ll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.
The Global Business Strategy (GBS) team helps make Google’s complex business organization run smoothly. The group drives core planning activities and develops frameworks to integrate global business strategies across the Sales, Marketing, and Partnerships organizations. Experts in both Google’s go to market organization and the industries where we compete, they drive strategic and operational improvements while working closely with Senior Leadership on a range of critical initiatives and projects. The GBS team is at the forefront of addressing the Business organization’s most strategic priorities, reporting and working directly for Google’s Chief Business Officer.
Responsibilities
- Manage Incubation Program and set the strategic vision for providing scaled support for a dynamic book of Incubation and Priority Partners
- Partner with executive stakeholders across Google and identify new partners/industries to evaluate within the program
- Manage cross-functional agreements and provide executive level support
- Manage Global Business Operations (GBO) and Cloud Global System Integrators (GSI) collaboration by partnering with executive stakeholders
- Advance GBO and Cloud engagement model, develop strategies to best collaborate, and accelerate cross-functional agreement making
