Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in construction (e.g. mechanical, electrical, structural).
- Experience with problem solving, and construction processes.
- Experience collaborating across multiple levels of an organization, and leading cross-functional process improvements.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in data center construction.
- Understanding of root cause analysis and have basic analytical skills.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Ability to be comfortable with using Google tools and applications.
- Ability to be comfortable presenting analysis.
- Excellent influencing, facilitation, and communication skills.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It’s your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

You will diagnose incidents to prevent recurrence, and reduce the total cost of ownership, through facilitating blameless Postmortems. You will do end-to-end Closed Loop Learning (CLL). You’ll enable efficient project delivery at a reduced Cost of Poor Quality by providing program support, facilitating lessons learned, and by effectively institutionalizing CLL across Google Data Centers (GDC). You’ll be part of CLL Assurance and Performance within the Global Performance Services organization responsible for Data Center Environment, Health, Safety, Quality and Learning.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and collaborate with region/site Data Center Service teams, General Contractors, Subcontractors. Ensure events worthy of deep dive (e.g. postmortem/root cause analysis) or CLL are adequately captured, analyzed, and updated in the repository for each project, and closed.
- Coordinate with Design Quality to obtain the Request for Information (RFI)/Change Process (CP) that requires postmortem or CLL.
- Publish postmortem, curate lessons learned, update Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and upon closure of the incident, monitor for recurrence incidents and long-term effectiveness of improvement action.
- Present to leadership and communicate program updates to stakeholders, publish reports, analysis, or applicable documents.
