Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with vendor teams, legal contracts, and finance POs.
  • Experience leading and scaling a fast-paced high-growth organizational function.
  • Experience in mobile hardware, Android software development, testing or release processes, product-oriented program management, or development and improvement of internal tools for use by developers/engineers.
  • Ability to navigate complex technical infrastructure owned by multiple teams with different priorities.

As the Program Manager for Pixel Software Device Distribution, you will manage a fast moving pipeline of parallel product distributions to Engineering and Testing teams while maintaining high service quality. You’ll be the main point of contact for all questions about product distribution, and be responsible for identifying and managing risks while keeping stakeholders well informed and satisfied.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world’s most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000-$158,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities

  • Forecast Pixel Software Engineering and Testing device distribution demand vs. available distribution capacity and proactively mitigate risks.
  • Partner with Pixel Software Device Technical Program Managers and Testing/Trusted Tester Program Managers to prioritize distribution from factory to end-recipients.
  • Align device distribution requests from multiple sources including Testing and Made By Google teams to optimize device delivery.
  • Build trusted relationships with program stakeholders, including managing expectations and ensuring they have the insights they need to make effective decisions.
  • Lead large-scale Pixel device distribution to Software Engineers and Testing populations globally.
