Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in EE, Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience in RF/wireless test equipment and wireless communication test sets (R&S, Anritsu, Litepoint, Keysight).
  • Experience in wireless technologies (cellular, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS).
  • Test automation and scripting experience (Python, C/C#/C++ or Java) and Qualcomm/Intel/Samsung tools (QXDM, QSPR, QRCT, QNPT).

Preferred qualifications:

  • MS in Electrical Engineering degree
  • 5 years of experience in RF testing
  • Direct consumer hardware experience
  • Experience with OTA chambers, ETS chambers, reverb chambers, satimo chambers.
  • Experience with RF test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzer, Network analyzer, Signal generator, and general RF components.

About the job

As a RF Desense Test Engineer, you will be responsible for achieving high end RF system-level performance by designing, automating, and optimizing RF desense test systems, including calibration, non-signaling, signaling, lab, and factory tests.

You have a solid wireless communication background, familiar with modern wireless communication test tools and equipment, and knowledge of the overall system architecture of wireless mobile products. You are an excellent programmer, proficient in coding with multiple programming languages.

You will use your skills for test tool development, test time optimization and integration, data post processing and analysis, and development of new test methodology. You will work cross-functionally with engineers and chipset vendors to define test needs and develop apps or APIs. You will be responsible for defining and developing new features and test plans for NTI. Developing and verifying factory and lab test tools, driving verification tests, dry-runs for factory builds, bug tracking, and troubleshooting. You will review results/logs and communicate with the Desense team and the cross-functional team to ensure the best quality of the product is achieved.

Responsibilities

  • Define RF Desense verification features needed. Work with the modem team, Antenna team, RF team, modem team, and vendors to develop and verify RF Desense software test tools.
  • Develop RF Desense test automation and test tool. Optimize test methodology, accuracy, and speed.
  • Perform data analysis and bug tracking/problem solving for both lab test and factory test.
  • Drive factory build dry run and support debugging throughout the build.
  • Develop test methodology and tools for new technologies.
