The gCam (Google Camera) team has helped Google establish itself as a leader in computational photography, with ongoing contributions to Pixel phones, Google Photos, and Camera Go. Past launches include HDR+, Night Sight, Astrophotography, Portrait Mode, Live HDR+, and Portrait Light. In this role, you will continue innovating in this field, through new algorithms and machine learning-based systems.
gCam seeks to improve image quality for mobile and server-side photography, as well as making it more creative and fun. Our work can help define the future of photography, influencing Google hardware, and changing the way we capture, process, and relive important moments.
Research happens at Google everyday, on many different embedded teams throughout the company. Our research reaches the user through both services and products such as Search, Maps, Google Assistant, Google Translate, Google Cloud and our computing, storage, and networking infrastructure. To achieve this, we’re working on a wide variety of projects that utilize the latest state-of-the-art technologies that push the boundaries of what is possible.
