With the huge success of Google’s products comes a huge growth in demand for compute capacity. Google invests billions of dollars in computers, networks, and datacenters. We build the systems that empower that growth. We work on complex multivariable problems by building world-class, highly reliable and available systems that help optimize cost, availability and reduce human involvement in the cloud capacity planning and management space. We work across several groups, and our efforts have a wide cross-organizational impact. We are looking for a strong, hands-on engineer that thrives in ambiguity, can understand the needs of the business and solves those needs through technology. Our end-goal is to build a closed-loop, self-learning system that covers the entire business lifecycle of Capacity Management and Planning, and handles the majority of use-cases, leaving humans to deal with exceptions only.
Google is an engineering company at heart. We hire people with a broad set of technical skills who are ready to take on some of technology’s greatest challenges and make an impact on users around the world. At Google, engineers not only revolutionize search, they routinely work on scalability and storage solutions, large-scale applications and entirely new platforms for developers around the world. From Google Ads to Chrome, Android to YouTube, social to local, Google engineers are changing the world one technological achievement after another.
