Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience working with web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, etc.)
- Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience optimizing processes to streamline execution and improve team operations
- Experience with complex and dynamic projects in engineering, quality assurance, and operational environments
- Ability to interact with technical and non-technical teams
- Understanding of SQL and one more programming language (Python, Java, etc.)
- Outstanding project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
About the job
The Search Language Specialist (SLS) program within the Core and Search teams consists of individuals in various regions and functions who are native speakers of multiple languages. The SLS program works on a variety of projects including curation of recall sets in different languages, development of grammar, evaluating and debugging triggering, running quality iterations, and initiating contributions to knowledge graphs. In this role, you will help us continue to build the team, work with stakeholders in your assigned site, and act as the liaison between multiple vendor teams.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with core engineering, software engineering, product and program management, search, and infrastructure teams.
- Manage feature internationalization launches and pilot projects.
- Design and build processes (e.g., recall sets, grammar, evaluations, launch process, etc.).
- Lead quality and evaluation reviews, developing and documenting processes and project information.
- Work with vendor teams, set goals/objectives, and track deliverables.
