Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of technical sales or technical work involving customer interaction.
- Experience with SaaS and web technologies.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience and understanding of the education ecosystem in Florida.
- Application development experience with HTML, PWA, JavaScript or Apps Script.
- Knowledge of web and related technologies (HTTP, Basic/NTLM, cookies/sessions, XML/HTML), including a working knowledge of web application development and integration, and Session Management.
- Understanding of Google for Education products, preferably with direct knowledge of implementing them in an education environment.
- Ability to speak and write in Spanish fluently.
About the job
As a Solutions Engineer in Google for Education, you immerse yourself in the needs and challenges facing some of our customers in the US, and help craft a technical solution. We help customers and resellers to understand the power of Google’s portfolio, explaining technical features, and problem-solving key technical issues.
In this role, you are responsible for scaling our rapidly growing Education business, with focus on our different Workspace for Education editions. Together with the sales organization, your focus will be on institutions in Florida.
As the team and business grow, we need to adjust and improve by using customer feedback to help our product teams understand where to focus, simplifying and evolving our sales processes as we add more components to our solution and markets, and crafting technical solutions to help us drive the business more effectively. You will work closely with the various teams in Google to analyze and identify those opportunities, and will lead or support specific initiatives to make change happen.
Responsibilities
- Identify customer business requirements, create and develop solutions which address customer requirements, and bring Google’s innovation into their school infrastructures.
- Promote Google Workspace for Education editions, Chromebooks, and other Google technologies in both customer-facing meetings or public events.
- Work closely with our Product, Support, Engineering, and Sales teams to stay on top of industry trends and devise enhancements for Google for Education products.
- Prepare and present demonstrations of products and address technical questions that arise throughout the process.
- Take responsibility for technical aspects of solutions to include activities such as bid responses, product and solution briefings, partner training, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of supporting technical resources.
