We are part of the Responsible AI organization within Google Research. Our team mission is making Google’s products more inclusive and responsible with machine learning research and engagements.
Our team conducts foundational research on measurement and modeling approaches that can improve inclusion and responsibility. We research engagements to identify and verify research learnings in Google product contexts. Additionally, we research strategic engagements to drive inclusion and responsibility impact for end users in high-impact Product Areas. Our research and engagements most significantly focus on responsible recommender systems, ML fairness, and robustness.
In particular, in the Responsible AI space, there is a tremendous opportunity in Google to make our most high-impact ML systems more inclusive and responsible for our end users. Our team members work in close partnership with product teams, delivering impact via product launches, while also creating and refining novel measurements and modeling solutions relevant for inclusion and responsibility.
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be leading a specific set of projects in the Responsible AI space, with the opportunity to apply and grow your skills in solving critically important and complex ML problems, creating engineering solutions in complex production systems, as well as leadership skills across Product Areas.
You will display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward. With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will also design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
