Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 8 years of experience in partnerships, consulting, business development, product partnerships, sales, corporate strategy, and/or a similar field
- Experience working cross-functionally internally and externally with all levels of management
- Experience crafting executive communications and building presentations
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in all non-transactional elements of partner relationship management (e.g., operations, account management, business/product engagement cadence, and legal and conflict-based situation management)
- Experience as a strategic thought-leader in partner relationship management
- Ability to understand and prioritize a partner’s strategic goals and successfully leverage that knowledge to support Google’s product excellence
- Excellent analytical and structured problem solving skills
- Excellent proactivity, ownership, self-driven attitude, relationship-building, and communication skills

As a Strategic Partner Manager, you will make decisions towards consensus, be operationally efficient, and engage experiences that puts customers at the heart of your decisions.

Our team provides meaningful solutions — from helping publishers and developers grow their businesses through monetization solutions, to helping our long-term partners anticipate and navigate change in a way that delivers economic and reputational value. We build and distribute products through partnerships across a multitude of product areas, including Ads, Search & Assistant, Geo, Platforms & Ecosystems, Devices & Services, Health, Retail, Payments, Next Billion Users, and more. We collaborate across Google, ensuring a coordinated approach when engaging with our most complex and strategic partners.
Responsibilities
- Build and develop relationships with named news and publishing strategic partners and be the principal and accountable point-of-contact for named news and publisher strategic partners
- Provide thought leadership on News Partnerships relationship management strategy across News product areas and collaborate effectively with internal cross-functional teams as necessary
- Develop opportunities with existing strategic partners and advocate their needs internally ensuring full product area stakeholder awareness and understanding
- Maintain an understanding of Google’s competitive landscape, emerging business trends at the global and regional levels, identify emerging disruptors, and ensure all stakeholder awareness, as necessary and appropriate
- Develop scalable programs that can benefit product adoption, ecosystem growth, and/or gather partner relevant insights for products
