Core Data is responsible for data at Google, working closely with teams across the company to serve their data needs. The Core Data product suite offers end-to-end data management solutions, infrastructure, and foundations for Google products operating at planet-scale, including flagship products such as Search, Ads, YouTube, and Geo.
In this role, you will be a leader for the Data Acquisition, Processing and Analysis (DAPA) organization, one of the key pillars for the Core Data organization. This pillar includes Acquisition (providing solutions that enable first- and third-party developers to acquire data), Processing (enabling the processing and transformation of data), and Analysis (creating products and features that allow all of Google to analyze and derive insights from data).
As this leader you will be responsible for setting the vision, strategy, and execution for DAPA. Through excellent technical and organizational leadership, you will deliver the next generation of data management and processing platforms for Google, while maintaining the same high quality service for the existing portfolio of products. You will demonstrate innovative thinking, collaborative problem solving, a passion for working in a highly cross-functional environment, and excitement for dealing with ambiguous and sometimes unprecedented challenges.
The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.
