Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 20 years of professional experience or 18 years with an advanced degree.
- Experience in building and scaling consumer products.
- Experience in creating, executing, and delivering according to a product roadmap.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Experience building and evolving cross-functional teams with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and cultivating a safe, inclusive, and representative organization.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams including Engineering and Product.
- Innovative thinker who values collaboration and is comfortable solving ambiguous problems.
- Passion for thought leadership around user privacy, security, and ethics.
About the job
As the Vice President, General Manager for Maps Experiences you will be responsible for the strategy, roadmap, design, delivery, and execution of Maps app experience. You will lead teams of engineers as well as product managers to build and deliver consumer and advertiser experiences on Google Maps. You will be part of Geo’s leadership team and will be helping scale and grow Google’s enterprise and consumer businesses.

Responsibilities
- Provide the technical and product vision and strategy for the Maps Experiences business.
- Manage, lead, and grow engineering and product management teams that define, build, and deliver Google Maps applications to delight users globally across mobile, web, and wearable platforms.
- Provide leadership for teams that cut across functions, systems, geographies, and organizational boundaries.
- Design and lead a multi-year roadmap, balancing short and long-term technology investments.
- Build relationships, partner with, and influence Product Area leads and their teams across Google.
