Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of product related experience, including experience in managing and developing a team of product managers.
- 5 years of C-level product development experience including product conception, launching, and growing multiple products.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams, including Engineering and Marketing.
Preferred qualifications:
- 5 years of experience with search and information retrieval.
- Expertise in relevance, ranking and machine learning.
- Solid analytics background, with ability to dive into data analysis.
- Passion for building high-quality user experiences and a commitment to product excellence.
- Innovative thinker and excellent collaborator who works effectively in ambiguity.
About the job
As the Local Search Vice President, you will have the ultimate responsibility for the Local Search product. You will lead and manage an organization of engineers and product managers partnering closely with UX, marketing, business development, other cross-functional teams as well as their peers in Google Search. You will drive product strategy and inspire an inclusive and creative leadership team to flawlessly deliver successful and innovative product launches in partnership with the larger ecosystem, and plan for global market growth.

- Understand user needs and market shifts to inform and develop a compelling vision for the future of the product, balancing short/long- term goals and investments to scale our solutions globally.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Marketing and other internal Google teams to create, drive and deliver innovative, compelling product experiences.
- Work with a strong cross-functional team to drive product usage and business growth.
- Drive key cross-functional initiatives including building community and developing new processes to scale globally.
