Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, accounting, mathematics, economics, etc., or equivalent practical experience.
Currently in your final year of a Master’s of Accounting program.
Preferred qualifications:
Excellent understanding of accounting and controllership principles and ability to apply them in the context of business needs.
Capacity to use a financial system, understand and clearly explain finance-related technologies, solve or analyze technical issues, or provide useful technical insights.
Ability to assess new changes to existing processes to identify and mitigate financial and operational risks before launch and recommend improvements.
Ability to manage projects involving multiple stakeholders, tight timelines, important organizational implications, and changing circumstances.
Ability to systematically report on information from numerous sources to define solutions, and evaluate outcomes.
Ability to identify and resolve financial risks

You’ll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports. You have a strong knowledge of US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), as well as experience in researching issues and documenting conclusions. Other responsibilities include reconciling balance sheets and P&L accounts, and providing supplementary financial information for internal and external reports.
As an Accounting Analyst, you will focus on completing defined tasks such as data analysis and reconciliation, determining appropriate accounting policies and treatment, developing desktop procedures, and generating reports. You will act as a good team member by being resilient, communicating well with your teammates, and developing new approaches to accounting or controllership problems.
You will handle day-to-day issues, will know when to escalate more complex problems to leadership or senior team members. You will demonstrate your baseline knowledge of accounting and controllership processes and procedures that affect daily operations and will use your expertise to help leaders make the right decisions on operational improvement and efficiency.

Responsibilities
Provide reports, data, and research to identify and help mitigate risk and escalate issues as needed.
Execute defined recurring accounting and/or compliance controls and associated activities for a project or business area.
Propose ideas to team leads on how to improve accounting and/or compliance processes.
Prepare for and assist with internal audits, SOX testing, and external audits by documenting processes and ensuring performance of key controls.
Prepare financial reporting, variance analyses, and other accounting reporting/analysis processes.
