Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

5 years of programming experience in Java, Spring, Hibernate, Web Services (RESTful, SOAP), JavaScript.

Experience implementing, customizing, and integrating third-party applications.

Experience in maintaining and debugging scalable systems.

Preferred qualifications:
Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical related field.

6 years of experience managing software development projects and working with third-party partners.

Experience in finance, payments, or commerce.

Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Excellent communication skills.

As an Application Engineer, you will play a role in developing, deploying, and supporting Google’s internal business applications. You will be tasked with solving various problems over time. You’ll be part of a team that implements enterprise software, configuring that software, customizing it, and integrating with other internal systems. In this role, you’ll be primarily tasked with creating custom-built software.

Responsibilities

Develop and design pipelines integrating multiple disparate sources to common analytical/reporting models.

Lead technical discussions with internal teams and third-party vendors for various payment reporting solutions needs.

Partner with product management and engineering to develop and prioritize solutions for payment reporting.

Work closely with partners to define requirements, scope, schedule, resourcing, and milestones/tasks.

Provide and develop domain expertise around Google Payments and reporting solutions.
