Minimum qualifications:
5 years of experience in commercial economics, pricing, go-to-market, or product strategy in SaaS/cloud/IT technology companies or management consulting across industries
Experience in value pricing and value selling in the SaaS/cloud/IT technology space
Preferred qualifications:
MBA or advanced degree in a management, scientific, technical, or engineering field
Experience working with and challenging the thinking of product/sales organizations on initiatives related to product/solutions business generation and commercialization
Ability to work cross-functionally across Product and GTM/Sales organizations
Understanding of the business value drivers of SaaS/cloud/IT products
Excellent written and verbal communication skills at the executive level
About the job
The Business Planning and Commercialization (BPC) team owns Strategic Packaging and Pricing for all of Google Cloud, including, Google Workspace, Google Cloud Platform, Maps, Looker, and AI/ML and solutions.
As part of BPC, our team focuses on applications. We partner with relevant Product and Partnership teams to enable commercialization of their respective portfolios. We develop use-case specific, value-based business generation models that resonate with both business and technology decision makers of small and medium-sized businesses (SMB) and enterprise customers and partners. Our scope is inclusive of enabling early adopters, packaging/pricing with business relevant meters, cross-product solutions, promotions and discounting models, channel economics, profit and loss planning and optimization, and other strategic initiatives.
In this role, you will drive innovation through all Google Cloud’s business generation policies, product and portfolio strategies, and commercial programs and structures. You will design and oversee the packaging, pricing architecture, and value pricing for Google Cloud Applications. You will design policies and structures with product managers, Sales teams, and Go-To-Market (GTM) leads, while influencing executive stakeholders to ensure successful rollouts of various products and programs. Other key responsibilities include, guiding the GTM team on commercialization across all channels (e.g., direct and partners) and making sure the business generation lands as intended.
You will drive critical initiatives that will transform business generation applications through strategic design, commercialization, and implementation, while balancing speed of execution with implementation constraints based on the right phased approach.

(Colorado only*) Minimum salary of $147,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
Responsibilities
Partner with Google Cloud Product leadership to define the business generation/pricing strategy and commercialization for Google Cloud Workspace and Looker product portfolios.
Validate commercial business case for product initiatives and execute the commercialization of product pricing models.
Define innovative packaging and pricing architectures that align to different customer segments and use cases.
Develop value-based pricing to capture the full business value delivered by Google Cloud Workspace and Looker.
Provide thought leadership among executive leaders and stakeholders to ensure appropriate business generation of our differentiated offerings, including the creation of channel programs, promotions, and discounting policies to drive product adoption.
