About the job
The Creative Lab is a small team of designers, writers, programmers, filmmakers, producers and business thinkers whose mission is to remind the world what it is they love about Google. Our job is to make Google’s magic more magical, help advance and invent Google’s future, and to communicate Google’s innovations, intentions and ideals in ways that makes us all immensely proud.
As a key member of the Business Affairs team, you will be responsible for facilitating the execution of high-impact, high-visibility commercials, short films, brand partnerships, experiments, and other scripted and unscripted content for use across multiple platforms. You will be able to draw from a breadth of cross-platform experiences to handle innovative creative projects and experiments. You’ll be expected to be a doer as well as a thinker, who does not settle for the expected and conventional, but works to advocate for (and build momentum behind) projects as they intersect with Legal, Finance, and other Google functional areas.
Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google’s products solve the world’s problems-from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can-changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.
Responsibilities
Manage all organizational, day-to-day aspects of the Business Affairs team for Google Creative Lab, including assisting in creation and maintenance of organizational documents, databases, and handbooks relevant to Business Affairs best practices and processes (e.g., weekly status reports, production handbooks, clearance and rights trackers)

Manage the clearance and licensing of third-party content for inclusion in video, print and web related media, and issue spot clearance issues for production of commercials and other scripted/unscripted content
Assist production team as needed, including assisting with management of traffic and network clearance process for TV content
Manage the submission of new vendor agreements, and supervise onboarding and payment process for third-party vendors and talent
