Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or equivalent practical experience
5 years of modeling experience (e.g., Alias, Rhino, NX, Solidworks) in an Industrial Design environment
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or equivalent practical experience
5 years of modeling experience (e.g., Alias, Rhino, NX, Solidworks) in an Industrial Design environment
Experience with 3D surfacing in Alias
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with defining CAD for mass production
Experience in a studio environment
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional groups
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Excellent in using Alias and NX skills
About the job
In this role, you will work closely with industrial designers and engineering. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary design team working to deliver the best of Google through our devices.
Applicants are required to share their portfolio demonstrating sculpting expertise using NURBS modeling and aesthetic judgment.
The Google Nest team focuses on hardware, software, and services for the home, ranging from Nest thermostats to Nest smart displays. Responsibilities
Create conceptual and production CAD models using Class A Surfaces
Collaborate closely with Industrial Design and Product Design Engineers
Work independently within a team environment
Work on multiple projects
